We are a dynamic Calgary private surgical practice providing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgeries ranging from wisdom tooth removal and dental implant surgery to corrective jaw surgeries.

**Role**
Providing patients with payment documentation, collecting and processing payments from patients. Liaise with Patient Care, Clinical Care, Third party Billing Coordinators to maximum efficiency, accuracy and a positive patient service environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Receive patients from Patient Care Coordinator and/or Clinical Staff, establish rapport with patient
- Review treatment orders, check costs for each procedure, prepare the invoice for services, obtain and process payments
- Provide patients with insurance forms to assist patients with obtaining reimbursement from their insurance carriers
- Prepare third party billing information documentation
- Provide patients with tax receipts for eligible services
- Ensure patient billing records are accurate and complete
- Balance day-end receipts and bank deposits
**Other**
- Participate in meetings and training as required
- Maintain current knowledge (technology, billing, practice admin, own job responsibilities)
- Work cooperatively with other staff
- Develop and maintain positive interactions with patients
- Prepare reports as requested
- Establish and maintain current knowledge related to the preparation of patient billings, fee collection and payment processes and protocol
- Undertake any other related activities as required
**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary-education in Medical or Dental Office Administration and experience with processing Accounts Payable/Receivables
- 3 or more years’ experience working in an oral surgery, dental or private medical practice team player with the ability to work in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
