Chemistry Technician

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Researching different rubber compound ingredients
- Researching how those ingredients are processed together to make a rubber compound
- Contacting ingredient suppliers to collaborate on compound development
- Weighing and measuring ingredients to mix lab and production quantity batches
- Developing the manufacturing process and protocols for mixing our developed rubber compounds from scratch in both lab and production level quantities
- Operating a 2 roll open mixing mill and Banbury to mix rubber compound batches
- Testing newly developed compounds for tensile strength, abrasion, durometer, UV resistance, rebound and other physical properties using ASTM testing standards
- Conducting A/B field tests comparing current compounds to newly developed compounds
- Adhering to all Evolution Wheel Safety standards and policies
- Completion of post-secondary program in Organic Chemistry
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related field
- Strong researching and problem-solving skills
- Experience with use of testing equipment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Completed post secondary program in Organic Chemistry

**Additional Job Information**
- Employees will be required to provide their own steel toe boots and wear them at all times. All other PPE for this position will be provided by Evolution Wheel.

**About Us**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
