**About the Position**
would be dedicated to patient care and committed to championing the Hospital’s Mission to relieve illness and
suffering, and help people live healthier lives. The Clinical Applications Analyst is responsible for providing
training and support to users of the Hospital Information System (Meditech). You are a motivated self-starter
with strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills, and enjoy taking on challenging issues.
You thrive in an ever-changing environment. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supports and maintains all Meditech modules, with greater emphasis on Nursing, MIS & ADM.
- Takes a lead role in planning and implementing upgrades and new modules, providing advice and
consultation on functional requirements, evaluating techniques and standards.
- Participates in activities surrounding preparation and development of an EMR migration to EPIC
- Tests and implements new features of software and implements changes to systems in response to
user requests.
- Responds to specialized programming requests, including creation of NPR and related reports.
- Communicates directly with vendors to identify and report any issues.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Participate in On-call support for two hospitals and a community healthcare organization.
**Requirements**:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario; BScN is preferred
- Diploma in Health Informatics in health informatics with a focus on clinical systems that implement
order sets and clinical pathways or combination of related education and experience in health
informatics.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the provision of evidence-based practice in a clinical setting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Meditech
- Magic version required
- Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting with thorough knowledge
of physician/provider, nursing and allied health workflow
- Ability to learn and support all Meditech modules and NPR reporting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies and technical support concepts based on
ITIL principles.
- Strong analytical, prioritization and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple professionals to meet organizational goals.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintaining steadiness, composure and professional disposition.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Awareness of Confidentiality and Security a must.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, to successfully support all levels of staff in resolving issues.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- Vehicle and valid driver’s licence, to enable travel between customer sites.
- Share on-call duties to handle emergency problems and issues.

Surgery, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Obstetrics, as well as on-site 24 hour per day medical coverage.
**Hours of Work**:Primary: Monday to Friday, but must be available to work shifts, weekends and holidays as
required.
