Conditions of Employment:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Ability to travel occasionally to out of province, rural and northern locations within Manitoba
- Must be available for occasional overnight travel

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- A degree, preferably at the Masters level, in a related discipline such as Agriculture, Public Administration, Economics, Political Studies, Environmental Studies, Science, Business/Commerce, and Law, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Supervisory or leadership experience including managing work plans, coaching, training employees.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide advice and recommendations to senior management.
- Excellent verbal communications skills.
- Excellent written communications skills with the ability to develop high level decision making documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop, foster, and maintain respectful relationships with diverse external and internal stakeholders.
- Strong Political Acumen.
- Experience developing strategic plans.

**Desired**:

- Experience with governance preferably in a government context.
- Experience working with or supporting boards and/or adjudicative tribunals.
