Firehouse Subs West Hunt Club, a fast casual restaurant offering hearty and flavourful hot subs and salads is looking for a Restaurant Manager to join our team immediately. Our restaurant, and the location of work for this position is located at Unit 4, 280 West Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON K2E 0B7.

The main responsibilities for this position include:

- Overseeing and providing direction to all staff to ensure smooth operation of restaurant and that
all duties are completed appropriately;
- Reviewing, evaluating and updating restaurant operational policies and processes;
- Dealing with customers and resolving customer complaints;
- Planning and implementing mechanisms to ensure adequate stocking of all ingredients, products
and supplies;
- Preparing all shift checklists, paperwork and walk-through inspection in a timely and accurate
manner;
- Reporting unsafe conditions, workplace accidents and other relevant situations to management,
and providing assistance as needed;
- Ensuring and verifying compliance with applicable legislation and operating standards;
- Ensuring all restaurant and franchise policies are followed, including cash policies and
procedures, workplace health and safety policies, meal and break policies, food safety policies
and waste tracking and disposal;
- Establishing schedules to ensure optimal staffing and service levels at all times, including
conducting pre-shift meetings;
- Working collaboratively with the Restaurant Leader to recruit, onboard and retain workers;
- Assessing and reporting the performance of individual team members;
- Negotiating agreements and contracts with vendors and suppliers;
- Working with customers for negotiating and confirming large catering contracts;
- Fostering an exciting and fun work environment, and encouraging and empowering the team to
meet revenue and performance goals; and

You must have the following qualifications:

- Experience in the restaurant industry overseeing operations and supervising small and/or
medium-sized teams;
- Experience leading restaurant teams to achieve revenue goals;
- Strong communication skills with customers, management and employees;
- Demonstrated organizational, time management and team leadership skills;
- Experience implementing new policies and processes in a restaurant setting;
- Willingness to work in a flexible schedule; and
- Having a valid Safe Food Handler, CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to complete
them at employer’s expense.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 35-44 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
