The opportunity
Are you ready to become part of a dynamic team in a fluid and fast-paced environment? If you’re a practiced HR professional based in Edmonton or Vancouver, ready to work in our fast-paced environment, your role will see you act as a strategic partner to your dedicated client group in many areas such as employee relations, talent management, performance management, compensation, workforce culture, and HR program development and support. Your role will also involve implementing and evaluating employee relations, human resources and talent management policies, programs, and practices. We are proud of the crucial role we play in ensuring the continued support and success of internal clients within CWB Financial Group.
Key deliverables- Supporting the development and implementation of strategic human resources plans that facilitate your client group’s business objectives.- Using your human resources and business savvy to collaboratively work with your client groups in establishing and supporting all aspects of their endeavors.-
- Providing guidance, counsel, direction and advice to management and employees on HR matters.-
- Supports employer branding and talent acquisition initiatives to grow brand recognition within the local community, universities/colleges and professional networks and affiliations in the GTA.- Conducting Branch or department visits for performance management purposes, including presenting training programs and coaching conversations.- Supporting the business with job evaluations, recruitment processes, performance management conversations, employees’ concern resolutions and many other functions.- Holding yourself to high standards - information can be timely, sensitive and private. Knowing how to act with the highest level of integrity.- Saying yes Taking ownership of process, follow-through and checking in so the team can count on you.
Successful incumbent- Ability to function and thrive independently.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.- Solution and service oriented.- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build sustaining relationships with client groups.- Excellent presentation skills.- Based in Edmonton or Vancouver working a hybrid model with everyday flexibility
Core knowledge requirements- 7+ years of experience as a seasoned HR generalist with proven experience of coaching leaders and employees and/or post-secondary education (degree or diploma in Human Resources) and industry related courses/programs in employee relations and talent acquisition.- Strong knowledge and experience with the Canada Labor code and provincial employment legislation- Knowledge of human resources practices.- Strong kno
