PURPOSE
Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Specialist is responsible for the outbound shipments for the USA, Canada, Caribbean Islands and plays a lead support role in all the outbound shipments to international markets such as Europe, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and other territories. In addition to all the outbound shipments, the Logistics Specialist is the lead person on handling all the returns from the U.S. and managing track and trace issues, call tags for returns.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepares all daily export documents for all markets in the world in which Joseph Ribkoff is the importer of record.
- Prepares and follows up all the shipments to the Caribbean islands, each with their own set of specific documents requirements and consolidations of product.
- Follow up on import permits with Mexican Government (Pedimentos).
- Lead person for all returns from U.S., including return Customs Clearance with our Canadian Customs Broker (CH Robinson).
- Track, Trace, and re-routing of lost shipments.
- Is key User for the D365 ERP Traffic Module.
- Is key person for insuring that all Items recorded in D365 have the proper HTS Code classification for International Customs Regulations.
- Ensures all products shipped are identified with proper MID#’s as required by USA Customs and other international territories.
- Plays key role in delivering sample collection to Sales Reps.
- Administer all outbound and inbound courier packages to and from overseas suppliers, contractors, Bulgaria office.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- College degree in Logistics (AEC or DEC)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics
- Excellent time management skills

- Ability to create and update detailed records and spreadsheets
