**Job Description**:
The Lead Labour hand is responsible for assisting and supporting the foreman and/or superintendent in all day-to-day field operations. This includes quality control, tool delegation, documentation and ensuring that personnel on site are abiding by all safety standards. The Lead Labour hand must be knowledgeable about construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, cost control and management of field staff during day-to-day activities.
- Steward the safety of all personnel on the job site and immediately address risks as they arise.
- Ensure all duties performed meet Occupational Health and Safety regulations and comply with the Chandos Construction Safety Manual.
- Assist and support the superintendent in all day-to-day operations in the field.
- Oversee quality control, tool delegation and documentation of site-related materials.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently working in the trade.
- Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance.
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Able to work in a team environment with a minimum amount of supervision
