**Full Job Description**
Reports to: President
Schedule: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Hamilton, ON

**Company Profile**:
Industry leader and innovator in design and manufacturing of a full range of radiators and other cooling components. We are a major importer of Radiators and Charge Air Coolers with warehouse locations in Hamilton Ontario and Calgary Alberta, which enable us to service all of Canada in a timely and efficient manner.

**Purpose**:
The main purpose of this position is to provide accurate and timely company records by managing the accountings functions. Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis

**Responsibilities**:

- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
- Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time
- Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Give financial reports to executive team each month
- Maintain and or implement inventory controls
- Coordinate semi-annual inventory counts
- Work closely with executive team to ensure efficient and successful companywide operation
- Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required
- Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

**Requirements**:

- College Diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- High degree of accuracy
- Great attention to detail
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
- Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Solid understanding of Accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
