**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, the **Manager, Supply Chain - Contracts, Procurement & Inventory** plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing Supply Chain processes related to Contract Lifecycle management, Procurement, and Inventory management.

The Manager is responsible for leading, developing and mentoring a team of Supply Chain Professionals who are responsible for optimizing the entire supply chain process from spend segmentation, sourcing, contracts management, supplier management, to delivery of materials and services, with a keen focus on reducing costs, improving efficiency, and improving reliability of materials and services timely availability.

The Manager is responsible for creating a collaborative team environment, adhering to all internal controls and practices, maintaining the highest level of professionalism, and upholding the values of Procon.

**Responsibilities**:
The Manager, Supply Chain - Contracts, Procurement & Inventory responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Provide overall leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of senior Supply Chain professionals responsible for contracting, procurement & inventory management at Procon Mining & Tunnelling.
- Establish annual goals and workplan focused on obtaining 80% spend managed on formal contracts and with a defined Preferred Supplier list.
- Responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day procurement activities.
- Responsible for the overall implementation and management of inventory strategies including identification of slow-moving, surplus, and obsolete inventory.
- Develop procurement & contracting strategies necessary to secure materials, equipment, and services in support of current project within Procon’s portfolio and in support of the planning initiative for potential new clients.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including supply disruptions, quality issues, and/or supplier performance concerns.
- Responsible for oversight and management of Supply Chain annual contract plan.
- Establish cross functional integration with maintenance and operations to enable effective communication and translation of demand between Supply Chain and other functions within Procon such as operation, maintenance, and other support functions to ensure effective and efficient delivery of materials and services.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to People, Process & Technology.
- Mornitor and report on key performance indicators (KPI’s).

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Minimum 10+ years experience in Supply Chain, Contracing, Procurement Mining Equipment, Major Components, and Inventory
- Minimum 10+ years experience of previous leadership & supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education
- Contract negotiation and management experience related to Mining Equipment and Services
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management is preferred / considered an asset
- Previous experience in working in mining & metals/ construction/engineering/energy industry
- Extensive experience in Supplier Relationship Management.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Contract Life Cycle Management.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft suite of products
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomouslyand a self-starter
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines in an organized fashion.
