Summer Student Technical Support

**Reporting to**: Director Technical Support

As a summer student in this role, you will be given meaningful, value-add, and challenging assignments, that will provide valuable experience in supporting our wonderful Boardwalk Family with their technology and project needs.

The role requires the fulfillment of customer expectations while observing corporate standards for security, confidentiality, and policy compliance.

**Responsibilities**:
In the role of Technical Support, you will be involved in the following
- Setup workstations and accompanying devices in accordance with established internal protocols.
- Offer assistance with troubleshooting of mobile device issues, as well as distribution and monitoring of organizational mobile devices.
- Collaborate with vendor support services to ensure timely resolution of support concerns and completion of related tickets.
- Support hardware audits and data quality improvement initiatives as identified.

ThTThe summer position is 35 hours per week, with normal business hours being 8:00am to
4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

**Experience and Educational Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a STEM undergraduate degree e.g. Computing Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
- Preference will be given to those students who are scheduled to complete their 3rd year of education.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Office 365; possession of any Microsoft certification related to Office 365, Desktop, or Server would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with basic networked computing system and various computing accessories including thin clients, laptops, desktops, printers, wireless Bluetooth devices, and screens.
- Expertise in software utilization with an aptitude for quickly comprehending new software and performing software installation and uninstallation as necessary.
- Knowledge of Android and iOS operating platforms is an asset

Non-Technical Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Capable of making independent decisions using sound judgement and information, adept at multitasking and prioritizing.
- High performing, positive and motivated individual who wants to make a difference.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills as well as an attention to detail
- Possession of a valid drivers license would be an asset
