Hotel General Manager

Diamond Canada Group is embarking on an exciting and extensive renovation of our Hotel, Quality Suites London which will become Comfort Suites London. Once renovations are completed this will be a 118 suite property with the latest upgrades and finishings.
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join us and lead the team under the new brand.
The Hotel General Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Contribute to Diamond Canada Group's goal of providing excellent guest satisfaction.
- Overall responsibility for all departments and operations of the Hotel.
- Set appropriate objectives for the hotel's performance including those relating to guest satisfaction ratings, RevPar, occupancy, etc.
- Develop a plan to achieve these objectives and track performance against them.
- Manage hotel budget including on-property costs associated with rooms, housekeeping, and food and beverage operations to improve profitability.
- Provide effective leadership and supervision of Hotel operations including sales, front desk staff, maintenance and housekeeping.
- Manage all human resources activities including recruitment, training, schedules, coaching, supervision, payroll, performance management and meetings.
- Strive to achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
- Develop and maintains strong business relationships with clients and employees.
- Attend and represent the hotel at industry/community events and meetings.
- Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers, including upcoming events in the London area.
- Follow-up on any guest or employee issues to ensure satisfactory resolution.
- Provide accurate, timely, and complete input to the Hotel owners.
- Escalate any concerns to the Hotel owners in a timely manner.
- Recruit and selects team members effectively.
- Train employees and set the right example.
- Conduct effective performance reviews.
- Delegate duties and responsibilities appropriately.
- Understand and implement safety and security measures.
- Understand quality standards and communicate them effectively to the team.
- Handle all guest comments in a timely and effective manner.
- Is able to communicate and maintain the highest brand standards.
