Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and explain treatment plan, along with financial estimates to patients for hospital operating room (OR) specific surgeries
- Manage Surgeon OR schedule and schedule patient treatment procedures for OR dates provided
- Coordinate with hospital administration to collect and confirm OR dates provided
- Coordinate with patients to confirm or change OR dates based on relevant updates to their health or oral conditions
- Coordinate with referring dentist/specialist as needed
- Complete pre-surgery checklist to ensure patient has provided all prerequisite forms, x-rays, consents, etc. and prepare patient for surgery including day-before, day-of and post-surgery instructions
- Verify insurance coverage, assist with financial arrangements / collections
- When fulfilling the role of a CDA, must be able to:

- prepare and take patient x-rays and/or photos as needed
- assist Surgeon with surgical procedures
- prepare and clean up surgical operatories before and after procedures
- sterilize workstations and equipment as needed
- Effectively communicate and foster a strong working relationship with Surgeon
- Provide exceptional service to patients, addressing their concerns or questions throughout process
