The Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing a regional outreach strategy and supporting funding efforts to ensure visibility with donors and community partners. Additionally, this position will coordinate all volunteer coordinator and engagement efforts in all regions that Nisa Homes operates in.

**KEY RESPONSIBLITIES**:
**OUTREACH**
- Develop and implement outreach strategy for Nisa Homes for the purpose of creating NH brand awareness
- Develop positive relationships with various community partners including Police, CAS and masajid
- Maintain current knowledge of issues and resources related to abuse and violence to provide presentations and public awareness activities about services and issues of abuse
- Facilitate community networking, attend meetings and workshops regularly
- Plan and execute educational and fundraising events in the NH regions including booths, iftaar, fundraising dinner, workshops, etc.
- Collaborate and communicate with other programs and external partners of the organization, and maintain a database of local resources and services

**VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT**
- Develop and implement a volunteer management strategy for Nisa Home volunteers
- Recruit, onboard and train new volunteers.
- Promote volunteer opportunities amongst new and existing volunteers
- Track volunteers on volunteer database system to assign, update and manage all volunteer hours
- Match volunteers to opportunities that suit their skill sets, and ensuring they understand their responsibilities and receive the proper training.
- Coordinate and assign volunteer to appropriate volunteer opportunities
- Engage volunteers throughout the year and conduct appreciation activities

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES**
- Clear Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance
- Access to a reliable vehicle an asset
- Ability to work individually and as a team member
- Understanding of the cycle of abuse, the misuse and abuse of power and control
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds
- Knowledge of social issues which effect women
- Knowledge of community resources
- Knowledge of social services policies and practices
- Knowledge of criminal and family justice systems
