**Position Title: Data Analyst**

**Reports to: Senior Manager, Membership and Data**

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain a complete understanding of Earth Rangers data structures and architecture
- Interpret Earth Rangers’ data sets and analyze results
- Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing
- Work closely with program managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity
- Regularly pull reports for each department and work with managers to prioritize business and information needs using relevant data
- Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process
- Respond to queries and data requests as needed
- Manage and improve existing reporting systems

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics/Information Management or equivalent
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Insights Analyst
- Strong knowledge of, and experience with, reporting packages (ie. Google Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI), databases (SQL, etc.)
- Strong background in, and advanced knowledge of, Microsoft Excel (incl. creating and running macros, PivotTables)
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
- Administrative knowledge of Salesforce, Shopify an asset
- Working knowledge of Meta Business Suite an asset
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases, web analytics, and social media insights
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
