If you’re passionate about helping people reach their full potential, facilitating meaningful training experiences, and fostering community connections in a diverse and inclusive environment, we’d love to hear from you **Job Summary** We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven **Community Engagement & Digital Skills Facilitator** to join our team. In this dual-focused role, you will empower participants by delivering tailored digital skills training while fostering relationships within the community to promote program engagement. You will design impactful workshops, provide one-on-one support, and collaborate with community stakeholders to bridge the gap between participants and meaningful opportunities. **Key Responsibilities** **Digital Skills Facilitation**: Design and deliver interactive workshops on: - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides) - Basic computer literacy, online safety, and social media best practices - Employability skills, including résumé and cover letter development Facilitate and support participants with resume and cover letter development to help individuals stand out in their job search as they prepare to re-enter the work force. Evaluate participant progress, adapt training methods, and provide constructive feedback. Create training materials, user guides, and resources to ensure long-term success. **Community Engagement**: Build and nurture partnerships with local organizations, community groups, and stakeholders to enhance program visibility and participation. Serve as a key contact for community inquiries, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. Plan and execute community events, workshops, and intakes to promote program offerings and support. **Program and Participant Support**: Assist in assessing participant skills, interests, and career goals to align training with market demands. Provide one-on-one guidance to participants in navigating digital tools and preparing for employment. Maintain accurate records of participant progress and program outcomes, making data-driven improvements. Support the front desk as needed and facilitate training in reception skills. **Qualifications and Skills** **Education & Competencies**: Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in education, community engagement, or related fields. Proven experience in digital literacy training, community outreach, or facilitating group workshops. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and basic computer systems. Experienced in crafting compelling resumes and cover letters along with excellent grammar and editing skills. Strong understanding of digital inclusion principles and online safety practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences. Fluent in English. Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with participants and community stakeholders. Proven ability in community engagement and/or B2B sales experience is an asset. Experience with group facilitation for adult learners and familiarity with adult learning principles.
