**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the CEO and designated management in our **Burnaby-based** warehouse, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of show and event productions by managing & coordinating the technical aspects of the Operations department while supporting and collaborating with the Warehouse, Transportation, Finance and Sales departments. With a mind toward efficiency, safety and continuous improvement, the Operations Manager will be responsible for directing, training, and assisting the Operations and Warehousing teams.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and Manage required Equipment, Labour and Logistics resources to meet deadlines
- Risk Mitigation Planning
- Lead regular meetings with operations and other teams to articulate priorities on a daily/weekly basis, ensuring work plans are designed and executed in conjunction with priorities.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Accomplish production results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
- Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
- Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Foster collaborative relationships among management teams, departments, contractors, support services and other stakeholders.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma in Business Operations Management
- Post-secondary degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Operations Management
- At least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of audio, lighting, video and staging in concert, theatre, television, and architectural practices
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and manage a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
