Winnipeg, Canada Access to Therapy Initiative Full time

**About Access to Therapy Initiative**

Access to Therapy Initiative is a Canadian-registered charity that connects individuals who cannot afford mental health care with licensed practitioners who provide counselling at reduced rates — and we cover the cost so that clients can focus on healing, not payment.

We are building sustainable, community-led fundraising structures across Canada and are seeking a strong, experienced leader to take ownership of our Manitoba fundraising events and community engagement efforts.

**The Role**

This is a paid, part-time leadership and execution role responsible for ensuring that Manitoba successfully plans, promotes, and delivers four fundraising events per year.

You will lead and support a volunteer committee, actively help execute events, and play a meaningful role in mobilizing community support, partnerships, and attendance.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strategy, people leadership, community outreach, and hands-on delivery — and who takes pride in making things actually happen.

**Key Responsibilities**

Lead and facilitate the Manitoba Events Committee, including chairing 12 monthly meetings

Guide planning, timelines, roles, and accountability for four fundraising events annually

Actively support the execution of events, stepping in where volunteers need help or experience

Recruit, coordinate, support, and motivate volunteer committee members (with organizational support)

Support outreach, promotion, and partnerships to ensure strong attendance and ticket sales

Leverage personal and professional networks ethically and appropriately to build momentum and engagement

Serve as the primary operational lead for Manitoba fundraising initiatives

Maintain clear communication between volunteers and the national organization

Foster a respectful, inclusive, and motivating committee culture

**Time Commitment**

Approximately 8-12 hours per month on average, with heavier involvement in the months leading up to and during events.

**Compensation**

$50 per hour, paid monthly.

This role is structured as part-time independent contract work.

**Qualifications**

Required:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in event planning, program coordination, community engagement, fundraising, or related leadership roles

Experience leading teams, committees, or volunteers

Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills

Comfort with autonomy, accountability, and outcome-focused work

Willingness to engage in outreach and promotion to support event success

Located in Manitoba or deeply familiar with Manitoba communities

Preferred:
Experience in nonprofit or community-based environments

Experience with fundraising, donor engagement, or community mobilization

Experience delivering events from planning through execution
