Board Secretary for Accessible Sport Connection Manitoba Organizational Description: Accessible Sport Connection Manitoba, is a registered charitable organization with the objective of creating accessible and inclusive sport and recreation spaces for persons with a disability in Manitoba. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to be physically active, in their communities and, alongside their friends and family. Volunteer Opportunity Details Volunteer Opportunity ID: 5951 Description of Duties:Accessible Sport Connection Manitoba is seeking a detail-oriented and committed Secretary to join our volunteer board. This role is ideal for someone who believes in equity and inclusion in sport or recreation and who values clear communication and good governance. The Secretary plays a key leadership role, including oversight of board records and meeting minutes, as well as participation in the supervision of the Executive Director. Skills Required:Organization & Record-Keeping - Maintains accurate, confidential records and ensures documentation is up to date and accessible. Strong Communication: Clear written and verbal communication to support smooth internal processes and external correspondence, with the ability to create accessible documentation Governance Knowledge: Familiarity with nonprofit roles, bylaws, and processes, or a willingness to learn. Leadership & Professionalism: Supports a healthy board culture and participates in the supervision of the Executive Director with thoughtfulness and integrity.
