Winnipeg, Canada Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association Full time

The Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association is looking for a Communications and Events Coordinator (Engagement Specialist). This is a new role at the association. The Communications and Events Coordinator (Engagement Specialist) will:

- Plan member engagement events (including the Annual General Meeting, Family Fun Days, Orientation Sessions, Membership Engagement Days)
- Plan continuing education events
- Plan and execute member facing and public communications
- Engage in student outreach
- Support committees and advocacy groups
- Coordinate volunteers for various committees and events

We are looking for an experienced new team member that can help the association better support the veterinary professional community in Manitoba. We are looking to hire on a part-time, permanent basis (roughly.4-.6 FTE) (20k-40k per year salary dependent on hours and experience).

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED**:

- Event planning experience (5 years + preferred)
- Experience supporting a committee (5 years + preferred)
- Communications planning and writing experience (5 years + preferred)
- Experience working in an association (preferred)
- Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends (to host after hours events)

Part-time hours: 15-25 per week

**Salary**: $20,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
