The Account Manager operates as the direct liaison between our branches and our customers, and is a crucial position in developing and maintaining the relationships that are required to grow our business.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide excellent customer relations while keeping a positive attitude;
- Manage and maintain accounts and relationships;
- Visit job sites and offices;
- Develop positive relationships and rapport with internal teams and clientele;
- Identify and follow-up with prospects;
- Acquire customers’ orders, communicate orders to branches/stores, follow-up on orders;
- Deliver equipment to customers when necessary;
- Deliver and communicate promotional material;
- Ability to cater to customer schedules, after-hour events and emergencies, as well as on-call schedules;
- Quote new equipment, building products and rental equipment;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Key Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a related field, and knowledge of construction equipment and building products;
- Attention to detail and effective paperwork organization;
- A self-starter, with a keen sense of time-management and effective planning skills;
- Good communication and people skills, and the desire to work effectively within a team environment;
- Ability to cater to customer schedules, after-hour events and emergencies, as well as on-call schedules;
- Familiarity with the territory;
- A clean driver’s abstract.
**Additional Qualifications**
- Ability to obtain a Canadian Nuclear Clearance certificate (Clear criminal background check required);
- Required to work in Nuclear zones to perform site calls while maintaining proper site specific safety protocols;
- Proficiency/prior experience with Systematics would be considered an asset;
- Technical aptitude of CAT equipment and operations would be considered an asset.
- Must be willing to work after hours and be on call;
- This position will be based in Collingwood.
