**Requirements**
- Diploma in a related field from a College or University.
- ASQ Certification highly sought (CQE; CSSBB; CMQ).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality supervision, leadership role, for a multi-disciplined manufacturing company, preferably automotive.
- Understanding of GD&T, and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (MSA’s).
- Automotive industry experience preferred.
- Certified Quality Engineer/Certified Quality Technician preferred, Certified Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence preferred.

**Job Duties**
- Strong knowledge of: Statistical Process Control, Measuring Instruments, Blueprint reading, IATF16949 requirements, FMEA, Basic metrology; PPAP and ISIR; GR&R, Linearity, Stability and Bias; Control plans; Flow charts.
- Must ensure compliance with the Ontario Health and Safety Act. Must perform duties as set out in NPI’s Health and Safety Manual.
- Must ensure compliance with NPI’s Environmental Policy and Ministry of the Environment Regulations.
- Must ensure retention of the IATF16949 Quality Status.
- Must carry out management responsibilities as set out in the NPI Management System Manual.
- Contribute to the submission of Engineering and Prototype samples - Must ensure quality and timing of engineering samples, as well as required documentation; Internal Audits.
- Contribute to the Plant’s PPAP submissions - Must ensure quality and timing of PPAP samples, as well as required documentation.
- Responsible for adherence to Customer Specific Requirements - Ensure timely recertifications performed; Review monthly customer performance reports and implement Corrective Actions as required; Travel to customers’ facilities as required for quality issues or Supplier Conferences.
- Track scrap and production goals as set out by NPI.
- Understand and adhere to the control and containment procedure for non-conforming or suspect non-conforming product, including stopping shipment and stopping production to correct quality problems where applicable.
- Provide leadership developing and directing QA and quality improvement initiatives for all company products and services.
- Monitor QA systems and advise executive team on system performance; publish statistics regarding performance against set goals.
- Perform gap analysis between applicable and current ISO standards; establish and implement a quality plan to bring the company into ISO compliance.
- Perform internal QA audits that are compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures.
- Collaborate with client-facing QA representatives to ensure full customer satisfaction with the company's products and services.
- Establish and maintain a QA program for monitoring supplier quality, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.
- Conduct risk analyses, verification, validation activities, and formal design reviews, as applicable.
- Support new product development and continual improvement and by integrating quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes.
- Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
- Act as liaison with customer auditors and assume responsibility for ensuring corrective actions with customer specifications.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.
- Persuade staff to adopt and incorporate quality methods into their work.
- Create and maintain QA control documentation.
- Identify relevant QA training needs and opportunities.
- Maintain a constant awareness of company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
- Take the lead in scrap reduction initiatives plant wide.
- Monitor supplier quality management system status, including second party audits where applicable.
- Assist with control of production with operator work instructions.
- Initiate, manage, and close all corrective actions pertaining to part quality.
