Now Hiring - Specialist Business Operations - Extended Hours
Reporting to the Manager, Extended-Hours Business Operations, the Specialist, Extended-Hours Business Operations is accountable for ensuring complete and timely processing as well support for 15-20 CDCC participants/members in areas such as:
Margin and collateral processing (cash and securities);
Settlement & clearing including End of day final settlements with payment processing;
Main contacts for Customer Support needs during the overnight clearing cycles;
IT processing.
Key Accountabilities
Maintain Collateral Requirements, collecting Collateral to satisfy the margin calls via securities pledge or cash, leading customers’ return of excess funds;
Perform a daily Cash Reconciliation of the various currency accounts with CDCC Settlement Banks;
Ensure successful completion of the end of day settlement process including payment processing;
Ensure participants/members meet their trade settlement obligations;
Support the Montreal Exchange with participant trade corrections or adjustments;
Act as the point of contact for matters related to Collateral/Banking/Clearing/Settlements to ensure effective and efficient client support is provided to all Members;
Provide guidance and solutions to internal teams and external clients;
Support the Business Continuity Program, Disaster Recovery Program, Default Simulation and other testing exercises;
Interact with Internal and External Audit, Regulators as well as internal departments;
Adhere rigorously to internal procedures, rules, audit requirements and internal controls verification processes;
Recommend changes to existing processes, services and procedures to ensure excellent customer service, and that we operate in an efficient and effective environment.
Lead and assist with projects and special assignments.
Education / Experience
Post-Secondary education in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, and/or Accounting is preferred;
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the Securities Financial Industry;
Solid experience/knowledge in Operations processes or Securities Accounting in the Securities Financial Industry.

Advanced level of technical and analytical knowledge regarding Collateral, Banking and Clearing/Settlements processes, systems and capabilities
