**Position Summary**:
We are looking for a Specialist, Market Insights for Nespresso based at our Montreal office. This role will be a key contributor to the organization with knowledge of the coffee market (machine and coffee) through their analyses and strategic recommendations. This role will integrate and analyse data from multiple sources (internal and external), to provide recommendations on the current and future trends of main players in the industry through analytical tools.
**A day in the life of a Specialist, Market Insights**:
As a Specialist, Market Insights, you will work on:
Market Analysis and Support (Coffee & Machine)
- Support decision-making through analyses, extracting insights and formulating recommendations, leveraging forecasts.
- Collect, combine and maintain external data (e.g. Nielsen & Circana/NPD panels, retail ad trackers, market trends and competitors) and internal data (e.g. channels, key campaigns and ongoing programs).
- Perform ad hoc analyses to improve our knowledge of competition, and provide key actionable insights, both reactively and proactively.
- Presentation of analysis and recommendations to internal departments (management, commercial, marketing, e-commerce, finance).
Develop a competitive market intelligence of the Canadian coffee industry
- Monitor industry using sources such as Mintel, Euromonitor, local and international media sources, social media, etc.
- Assess potential impact of competitive moves on Nespresso’s brands and operations on both machines and coffee categories
- Develop and maintain processes and tracking reports
- Liaise with HQ Competitive Insights team to gather and share findings on the international competitive level
- Integrate quantitative and qualitative research insights to establish competitive stance of key market players in the Canadian Coffee Industry
**What will make you successful?**
- University degree in Business Intelligence/Marketing/Retail Management
- 2 years experience in market intelligence / marketing analytics / sales analysis
- Strong knowledge of MS Office/Excel/PowerPoint
- Expertise in Nielsen Answers, NPD/Circana and other panels (asset)
- Good knowledge with KPI and dashboard software (Tableau / Power BI)
- Good knowledge of the coffee sector an asset
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information, with ability to adapt the communication style to the needs of the audience
- Precision, thoroughness, attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a tea
- Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market and/or worldwide.
