**Job Summary**:
Under the direction of the Afternoon Shift Supervisor, the employee will be responsible for completing various folding, bindery, cutting and trimming operations for press, digital-press and inkjet in compliance with job specifications and company quality standards. The Machine Operator works closely with other production staff members to complete any finishing specifications listed on the project. They perform routine maintenance on all workstation equipment to ensure optimum output.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Read and understand the docket and job requirements.

Perform all machine functions including set up and operation of the machine.

**Complete set up and operation of the assigned machine ie**: folder, guillotine, shrink wrapper, stitcher, inserter, polybagger etc

Feed product into machines and perform visual inspections of first off product and complete proper QC process to ensure order accuracy.

Monitor the quality of the product on a constant basis throughout the machine operation. Address malfunctions such as jamming, wrinkling or tearing of material and stop machine to make adjustments as required.

Move product to the next production stage.

Clean and maintain equipment and work area, sorting rejects as needed.

Troubleshoot and conduct minor repairs on machinery as able.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
Experience in machine operations in print, mailing & bindery

Preferred experience in the use of hand tools

Preferred previous experience in print/mail/bindery

Willingness to learn a multitude of machine methods to handle the variety of products & services we offer

Positive attitude

Effective team player and independent worker

Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs

Stand and walk up to 8 hours or more per day
