This Machine Operator position operates production line equipment in accordance with SOP’s and GMP’s, ensuring throughput levels are met.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
Specific duties include but are not limited to:

- Setting up manufacturing equipment for daily use
- Maintaining equipment and machinery so they can operate safely
- Training and overseeing other employees on specialty machines
- Maintaining the understanding of operating procedures for their machines
- Proposing improvements to the process or machines as needed
- Reporting safety hazards within the work environment
- Oversee line activities and compliance with production procedures
- Cooking vegetables and pasta
- Running ovens
- Ensure finished goods meet specifications.
- Perform Pre-operation inspections
- Troubleshoot basic operational issues
- Track and record production data
- Train and develop new hires, as required
- Comply with and enforce safety initiatives
- General housekeeping of production area
- Other tasks as directed by Supervisor

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- 3+ years in manufacturing, specific to food processing is preferred
- Good communication, numeracy and literacy ( written/ verbal)
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- High degree of attention to detail / accuracy
- Flexible working both AM and PM shift and occasional weekends
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot potential issues
- Ability to lead a team and train other employees, as needed
- Resourcefulness in learning new manuals and processes
- Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks
- Ability to identify issues or problems in operations or maintenance

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
