- Reporting to the Manager, Collections & Partner Support, the Collections Specialist will be responsible for collecting and managing accounts that are 1+ days’ delinquent and/or identified as high risk. Acting in a first party capacity, the Collections Specialist will deliver an exceptional customer experience and, wherever possible, provide guidance and solutions to clients in an effort to assist them in bringing their accounts back to a current, on schedule status.

**What you will do**- Ability to prioritize and manage a high call volume environment (inbound and outbound) while delivering an exceptional & professional customer experienceEvaluate the client’s current financial situation and match to the appropriate solution by following company guidelines-
- Provide financial education and guidance to customers to ensure their financial health with regards to their Progressa loan including articulating the consequences of missed payments-
- Actively demonstrate a desire to address and resolve customer concerns, issues, or complaints as part of a one call resolution goal-
- Achieve and/or exceed defined targets and company KPIs-
- Escalate client concerns as appropriate and in a timely manner-
- Become a Progressa expert as it pertains to payments, insurance & loan servicing-
- Other related duties as required or assigned**What you will need to succeed**- Minimum 1 year in the Financial Services industry with a focus on collections-
- Experience in first party and/or early-stage collections-
- Excellent customer service skills both verbally and in writing-
- Ability to actively demonstrate empathy for individuals in difficult financial circumstances-
- High level of assertiveness and strong resilience-
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills-
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while being a supportive team playerBasic knowledge on insolvencies (CC, CP and BK)-
- Intermediate Google Suite skills-
- Technical aptitude-
- High school education or equivalent-
- Open availability to work varying shifts between 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday, with a minimum of two evening shifts per week
