We are a start-up based in Kitchener, ON that engineers and manufactures 100% electric robots that can perform snow removal, salting, sidewalk inspections and grass cutting. In your job as The Business Development Representative (BDR), you are responsible for researching, identifying and prospecting potential customers and clients for the company. You will work from a lead generation list and also conduct market research to find new potential opportunities for sales by conducting cold calls. As a BDR, you must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, have the ability to work independently and have a self-starter attitude
**Responsibilities**:
- Prospecting and gaining new clients using various research methods and leads list
- Performing basic product/service marketing via presentations, pitches, product demos and social media campaigns (e.g. LinkedIn)
- Conducting cold calls to potential clients to gauge sales interests and LOI
- Assisting the Sales Team with the creation of and implementation of ad campaigns
- Scheduling meetings for clients and Sales Representatives
- Forecasting marketing effectiveness via LinkedIn ad campaigns
- Assisting the Sales Team with the creation and management of LOIs
- Travelling to and from the US to participate in roadshows
- Assisting the Sales Team with client relations and other tasks as required
**Required Skills/Experience**:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma is preferred
- 1-2 years in sales or relevant co-op experience
- Background knowledge of social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience working at a startup or small company as an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently/with little supervision
- Previous Sales and/or Marketing experience as an asset
