Discovery House Family Violence Prevention Society provides a continuum of care and integrated wrap-around services to women and their children fleeing domestic violence. We facilitate transitional housing and offer longer-term, safe places for women and children to call home while they begin to rebuild their lives. Discovery House is about hope and healing using trauma-informed care practices.

**What You’ll Do**:
The Team Lead, Community Housing Program provides leadership, supervision and support to a team of Case Managers and Housing Liaisons dedicated to ending homelessness for families who have experienced family violence.
Reporting to the Manager, Housing and Research, this position works collaboratively with the Discovery House Shelter, Child and Youth, and Counselling teams, as well as community partners and funders, to ensure a high standard of quality programming, and incorporating innovative approaches to ending homelessness for families experiencing domestic violence.
- Leadership _
- Participates as an active member of the Program Leadership Team and the broader organizational leadership
- Provides leadership, coaching, team building and day-to-day support for the Community Housing Program team, including Case Managers and Housing Liaisons.
- Ensures an effective team through recruitment, onboarding, ongoing supervision and communication of job expectations, training, and ongoing evaluation of frontline staff
- Fosters a healthy and safe, team oriented, supportive, and accountable work environment
- Establishes programmatic goals that execute on the strategy and business plan by gathering pertinent program and operational information
- Ensure guidelines, resources, policies, and procedures for program delivery are in place and operating effectively
- Program Delivery _
- Facilitates a client-centered, trauma-informed environment for clients and staff
- Ensures programming is grounded in an understanding of colonization and intergenerational trauma and facilitates program design that meets the needs of Indigenous populations.
- Ensures the delivery of high-quality programs and services including intakes, service planning, caseload assignments, housing location, rental subsidies, and ensuring a flow of clients through the program and services.
- Complete thorough and comprehensive client file audits on a regular basis and at discharge, to ensure compliance with agency standards for documentation and optimal service delivery.
- Develops strategies for engagement and retention of landlord partners with the program
- Work with the Community Housing Program team and Discovery House leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities for collaboration and partnership
- Develops strategies to build and maintain a community network and facilitate cross-program sharing and opportunities
- Participates in writing of grant proposals for programs and services as requested.
