Laboratory Team Leader

**Summary**

Our Team Leaders are key examples of KaizenLAB’s goal to provide exceptional services through commitment to quality. They oversee a team of analysts who are focused on a particular branch within the company which requires dedication to accuracy and time management. They also work to develop and implement team strategies that will increase productivity while providing a positive experience for the people they lead.

**Job Duties**
- Oversee their team to ensure all members are meeting the following accurate methodologies and/or internal policies while maintaining strict health and safety practices
- Mastermind ways to deliver exceptional quality in the work their team produces
- Develop and oversee the implementation of procedures and protocols
- Resolve complex problems or disputes in a professional manner
- Inventory management of department’s required supplies
- Develop and execute a ninety (90) day on-boarding plan to ensure new team members have every opportunity to successfully pass their probationary period with the assistance of the Training & Mentorship Advisor
- Develop strong training plans for their team to continuous advance
- Develop an annual goal for their department to achieve.
- Coach and support their team members to help them meet the departmental goal as well as their own individual goals
- Conduct reviews and provide constructive critique to improve the performance of their team
- Create quarterly departmental reports to determine whether KPIs are being met and where there is room for improvement
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years prior experience in an analytical role
- Excellent communication skills
- Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Competition of KaizenLAB’s Leadership Program
- Completion of the KaizenLAB Inc. Lab Analyst Training Program (when in a lab team leader role)
- Completion of the KaizenLAB Inc. Senior Analyst Training Program (when in a lab team leader role)
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

**Key Performance Indicators (KPLs)**
- Team Management - reduction in overtime of 10% from previous year
- Quality Control - Reduction in quality incidents from previous year of 10%
- Team Performance - Based on in-house audit must have a score of 75% or higher
- Team Development - number of team members who have been crossed-trained (target of 75% of team) and participated in KaizenLAB Inc. training programs (target of 75% of team)
- Twenty (20) hours of professional development per year
