About the role

**We are currently hiring 1 full-time Student Interns for a 4-month Summer internship from May to August 2025. This Intern will report to the Innovation Programs team.**

**Here’s an example of how you’ll make an impact**:

- Assist with the development of communications products related to innovation programs and activities such as the Expert Community on Housing (ECoH)*.
- Assist team members with documents review and drafts.
- Provide support for the planning and delivery of targeted innovation activities, focused campaigns, or other sessions.
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize information from diverse sources.
- Lead development of recruitment of members for the College of reviewers.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key internal clients and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with colleagues and assist in the implementation of a knowledge mobilization strategy to help ensure Innovation Programs (and supported projects) are given visibility.
- Prepare presentations, education, and awareness sessions to promote, explain and provide exposure to Innovation Programs, methodology and techniques.

**What you need to succeed**:

- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a University degree in a related discipline such as business administration, urban planning, public administration, social sciences.
- Previous experience and understanding of the implications of public policy and political environment on housing programs. Experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
- Strong oral and written communication, excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
- A creative and innovative problem solver.
- Skilled in the collection and synthesis of information from a variety of sources such as government reports, academic research, and stakeholder position papers.
- Organized with a strong ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and take initiative.
- Experienced in writing and editing a variety of communications products.
- A strong oral and written communicator with the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.

**Nice to have**:

- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset, but not required.
- Knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft Teams.
- Experience working with virtual communities of practice and optimizing the use of social media.
