**PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR**
CMP Automation is a medium sized, vertically integrated manufacturer of turnkey automation equipment, providing custom manufacturing automation solutions to various industries. Since 1988, we have primarily supplied the automotive industry, in North America and overseas, specializing in small diameter tubing automation.
**OVERVIEW**:
CMP Automation is hiring a Procurement Coordinator to work with the company's supply of products, materials and/or services, to strategize with team members to support project procurement demands, and cut procurement expenses. The Procurement Coordinator will also work with the team to process Small Order Sales. The incumbent will have strong analytical, interpersonal, communication skills and ability to handle pressure of this role.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Process purchasing documentation (i.e. Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Cancellation requests) in accordance with CMP policies and procedures.
- Expedite solutions with suppliers and vendors regarding cost overruns, inferior quality, backorders, and missed deliveries of goods purchased.
- Track, monitor and maintain PO deliveries and liaise with other departments to administer changes with mínimal impact to production schedules.
- Attend white board meetings to relay urgent items back to Supply Chain procurement specialists.
- Assist Outsourcing Procurement with the receiving of machined items, i.e. verify parts are as per PO.
- Assist Outsourcing Procurement to expedite the in-house inspection process.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate records, e.g. RFQ’s, Quotations, PO’s, etc.
- Initiate and follow-up of evaluations, requests for quotation and other day to day procurement.
- Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving Clerk, to ensure timely movement of goods to Customers, and to and from Vendors, and ensure data is available to Project managers and Toolroom manager.
- Prepare shipping and customs documents as required.
- Request quotes and negotiate rates with transport companies.
- Assist in filing of Supply Chain documents.
- Assist Supply Chain department with special projects and/or tasks as required.
- Assist in the development of cost containment, product standardization, vendor consolidation and benchmarking, and other supply chain management strategies that maximize value while ensuring that CMP standards are maintained or enhanced.
- Adhere to all ISO Procedures and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the CMP Employee Handbook.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures.
**Small Order Sales and Processing Responsibilities**:
- Work with key personnel to prepare Small Order proposals based on customer requests (RFQs).
- Assemble and collect all necessary technical information (internally or externally) for proposal development.
- Prepare detailed estimates of labour (with support of toolroom) and material costs, as required and according to department standards.
- Utilize MS Excel for cost estimates and MS Word for written proposals.
- Solicit input from key personnel, as required.
- Involve third party vendors and suppliers, as required.
- Prepare proposal for final review with management; editing the proposal as required.
- Issue Small Order proposals directly to customer personnel and within customer defined due date.
- Follow-up with customer, as required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:
A post secondary diploma or degree in purchasing or business and/or equivalent experience.
**Experience**:
A minimum of five years in an equivalent role.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
