**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Source and evaluate suppliers of technical equipment, components, and services.
- Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents to determine procurement needs.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize value and minimize risk.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and operations to ensure compatibility of parts and equipment.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.
- Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage inventory levels in coordination with warehouse/logistics teams.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier innovation.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and applicable regulations.

**Qualifications and Skills Required**:

- Post-secondary education in Mechanical/Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in technical or engineering procurement, preferably in the cold storage industry.
- Strong understanding of technical specifications and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software & MS office suite of products.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**Assets**
- Experience with international sourcing or working with global suppliers.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, QA/QC processes, or project-based procurement.
