ParaMed is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Finance Team

The Financial Analyst will work directly with the Assistant Controller, to support accounting activities, month end close, reconciliation and variance analysis with an aim to drive improved financial performance and support our business partners.
**Your Role as a Financial Analyst**:
- Own the month-end process for important balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Demonstrate accounting expertise by preparing and maintaining complex reconciliations
- Deliver insights on company performance by preparing monthly reports and variance analysis
- Influence business decisions through analysis of financial and operational data
- Partner with key operational stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records
- Collaborate with members of the ParaMed and Extendicare finance on organizational initiatives
- Support the implementation of Workday as the company’s new ERP
- Manage auditor requests and submissions to external parties on behalf of the company
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Accounting
- Working towards CPA accounting program preferred
- 1- 2 years work experience in accounting related role
- Experience in identifying, investigating, analyzing and reporting variances
- Excellent communication, organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Detailed oriented, with the ability to adapt to change
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel is required
