**Position Overview**:**

The Financial Analyst’s focus is to support operating department with financial and operating budget development, forecasting and reporting. The position will work with the finance team to conduct quantitative analysis to provide business insights to key stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include administering finance data for forecasting purposes and assisting in the creation of system reports and dashboards.

In conjunction with operating departments the Financial Analyst will develop and measure key financial and operating metrics including but not limited to customers, usage, operating expenses and capital investments. In addition, the role will be responsible for maintaining, updating and enhancing the business model, forecasting and budgeting for operating departments as well as business case development in support of specific program and project initiatives.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Providing data (Actuals, Forecast and Budget Opex figures) to various departments
- Identifies reporting requirements, works with others to build reports
- SAP data extractions and data manipulations for variance analysis
- Creating decks for various Network reviews
- Investigate and provide commentary on financial variances
- Excellent financial modeling skills and experience
- Working knowledge and experience with forecasting methodologies and budget

management; experience with enterprise planning software an asset
- Demonstrated analytical ability with focus on detail, accuracy, complex problem solving

and logic capabilities
- An understanding of the telecommunications industry, working knowledge of Xplore

internal systems (SAP, Salesforce) an asset
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Working knowledge and experience with SQL considered an asset
- Proficient in advanced MS Excel functions such as pivot tables, v-lookup functions and

general data manipulation
- Ability to multi-task and understand competing priorities following through to the

completion of projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly and convincingly communicate,

both written and oral, with both technical and non-technical internal customers
- Successful track record working in team environments with proven ability to influence

others
