**Key Accountabilities**:
Working as part of the Finance team for multiple divisions and under general direction of the Human Resources, Payroll & Benefits Manager, the Payroll Administrator is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of full-cycle payrolls and related reports.
- Prepare and administer bi-weekly payroll for two companies
- Prepare statutory remittances, including payroll source deductions, EHT, WSIB, and WorkSafe BC
- Prepare payroll journal entries
- Data entry of agency timecards and weekly submission of agency hours
- Administer employee group insurance benefits program, process new hire enrolments, terminations, and salary changes. Calculate employee benefit deductions and taxable benefit amounts
- Track vacation absence schedule and calculate monthly accrued vacation
- Assist with recruitment process, co-ordinate new employee packages
- Assist with employee terminations, cancellation of benefits coverage, generate ROEs
- Year-end reporting - T4s, T4As, and T2200s
- Annual reconciliation - EHT, WSIB & WorkSafe BC
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Education and Qualification Requirements**:

- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification required
- Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Critical thinker with the willingness to learn and develop
- Resourceful and independent, with a “can do” attitude and approach
- Ability to maintain at all times a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
