**Reports to**: Director, Construction and Technical Services and the Project Manager **Summary**: Under the supervision of the Director, Construction and Technical Services and the Project Manager, the Project Management Intern will support the construction project managers in their planning, coordination and activities inherent to the implementation of the various projects they are assigned. The buildings in the Montreal and Toronto areas total 2.25 million (2,255,938) square feet. The project management intern will develop his/her skills in project organization and planning. To this end, he/she will be involved in the following actions with the project manager: - Manage the project life cycle in the design, execution and delivery phases; - Actively participate in the overall project monitoring, cost negotiation, presentation of additional requests or program modifications that impact project delivery; - Conduct the bidding and tendering process, research with professionals, suppliers, contractors, department heads, etc; - Select and manage external service providers (consultants and contractors and technical resources); - Participate in meetings with professionals in development files and establish the scope of work; - Manage assigned project professionals; - Plan and monitor the project schedule; - Ensure efficient delivery of projects in accordance with the quality criteria of the initial program and proceed with the administrative closure of projects; - Conduct site visits to monitor and validate progress as agreed upon and ensure that projects are completed in accordance with the standards established in the plan; - Supervise and control the quality of work performed by contractors; - Be responsible for the administration of projects (drafting of contracts, analysis tables, cost control, etc.); - Issue purchase orders and follow up on them; - Develops, monitors and closes budgets for projects under his/her responsibility; therefore, places particular importance on respecting budgets; - Plan, coordinate and organize, in collaboration with the department heads of the various buildings, the work related to the mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural aspects of the buildings; - Coordinate between the various stakeholders and act as a technical resource person for the resources involved; - Manage communications with the stakeholders involved in the projects; - Ensure the sound management of health and safety of people on projects; - Ensure the issuance of payment certificates, substantial certificates in the event of work, final certificates of work, as well as any other documents required for the proper conduct and closure of projects; - Anticipate and prevent disputes and take measures to resolve any misunderstanding. **Qualifications**: - University Engineering Studies; - Possession of a "ASP Construction" competency card; - Bilingualism (oral and written) (an asset); - Mastery of the Office software suite; - Knowledge of MS Project software (an asset); - Knowledge of Autocad software (an asset); - Possesses the personal qualities inherent to the position such as: - Team spirit and teamwork (essential), - Ability to manage and complete several projects simultaneously, - Concern for the quality of customer service, - Aptitude for interpersonal relations, - Organizational skills, - Ability to analyze and synthesize, - Sense of creativity and initiative, - Negotiation skills, - Open to learning.
