**Manager, Project - IT**

**Overview**

The Project Manager, IT, reports directly to and works under the direction of the Store Implementations Manager. Overall responsibility is to manage all phases of the assigned store systems implementation tasks, development deployment project plans in support of projects defined for the Store Implementation team. The PM will also assign work to a team, will perform day-to-day operational tasks and interact with all teams within Loblaw. Ensures the Project Team runs smoothly, customers are attended to and that delivered projects/tasks are on time to meet business requirements with full project accountability.

**Accountabilities**
- Clearly define the context and limitations of a project, i.e. purpose, scope, stakeholders' expectations etc.
- Define all activities with corresponding resources, work effort, duration, target dates and actual dates.
- Prepares project plans, acquires approval and coordinates activities of large and complex projects to ensure that goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frames and within budget.
- Assign appropriate resources to all work activities.
- Reviews project plans to determine and modify timelines, budget and staffing requirements.
- Leads project team with strategic impact to design and implement technology solutions to meet business requirements.
- Act as a liaison between the business and technical teams.
- Provide clear guidance and direction to all team members.
- Provides feedback to managers on employee performance.
- Actively monitors project deliverables to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Keeps management up to date at all times on any issue that may impact delivery of the project.
- Establishes and sustains effective team environment based on increasing performance motivation and encouragement.
- Prepares and maintains up-to-date detailed project plans from requirements gathering to testing and implementation.
- Follow proper ISD standards for project management.
- Develops and presents clear and concise business cases to ISD Management and the business.
- Follow proper SDLC standards within the LCL PMO

**Qualifications**
- Practical experience in a three per Client Server, and object-oriented architecture development environment.
- Practical experience in hardware and software deployment within a Windows and Server networked environment.
- Practical experience working with retail hardware.
- A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Business or related discipline is required.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- The ability to work in a highly organized manner with detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines and balancing multiple tasks.
- 3-5 years' experience in a team leader role and/or 3-5 years project management experience.
- Previous experience developing detailed project plans using project management methodologies and tools. Previous experience in a senior support role and managing a small support or development team.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Valid Drivers License issued in Canada
- Must possess own personal vehicle for business use on the job
- Must be fluently Bilingual QC French and English - Written and Verbal
- Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are required in dealing with Colleagues, Vendors and other internal Loblaw customers
- Ability to travel to the stores is a MUST.
