Underwriting Analyst

Would you like to be Collectivfide’s very first Underwriting Analyst, helping us continue to optimize and scale our underwriting operations, develop and implement risk quality initiatives, and support our growing network of broker partners with market placement?

This is a brand-new role so you get to help shape what success looks like. This role is ideal for someone with an analytical mind, sound judgement of what constitutes a good risk, a passion for underwriting, and likes to have some fun along the way. This role will be primarily remote but will require in office attendance for collaboration days, team meetings, etc.

**So What Will You Spend Your Time Doing?**
- Be the lead for our referral program; track and monitor requests, provide reporting/metrics to management on the overall program, assess risk quality against underwriting appetite and criteria, place risks with appropriate broker partner, serve as the point of contact for all referrals.
- Seek out and identify markets for hard to place risks with the various markets within the Collectivfide network. Monitor reports and report on results to management.
- Help support the development and execution of group programs.
- Be the liaison between our broker partners and the carriers for risk assessment and placement requests and issues.
- Support underwriting operational and risk quality initiatives with the goal of improving the profitability, quality, consistency, and efficiency across the Collectivfide books of business.
- Conduct market, industry research as required to support initiatives and programs.
- Support the Operations Manager with technology implementations within our brokerage network.
- Remain current with industry and market knowledge

**Key Qualifications**
- 3+ years of experience in either an Underwriting or Broker role, with a focus on Personal Lines; Commercial Lines is an asset.
- Previous experience with group programs is preferred.
- Solid analytic skill set, able to make sound judgements around risk assessment.
- Ability to communicate with all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
