CMS works primarily with an impact focused lender base with a mandate to support strategic Kingdom investments on behalf of these lenders.Summary of Position:Capstone Mortgage Services seeks a motivated Mortgage Analyst who, as part of the mortgage brokering/administration team, will provide technical analysis and mortgage underwriting to support the management of our lenders’ proprietary mortgage portfolios. Your training in business/financial analysis, and background in the investment/mortgage industry, will provide the platform for this in-office role as part of a flexible and collaborative mortgage brokerage/administrator team based in Cambridge, Ontario.Duties & Responsibilities:Provide analysis on potential and current mortgages including mortgage underwriting, financial modeling, and comprehensive due diligence reports to support the portfolio of mortgages under administration.Underwrite loans on behalf of the lenders’ proprietary mortgage pools.Assist with maintaining client contact during the underwriting process.Collaborate on structuring mortgage solutions with lenders and mortgage applicants.Prepare recommendation reports to lenders for both new and renewal mortgages.Prepare financial modeling to support analysis of financing opportunities.Manage, maintain, and update due diligence on existing mortgages, including construction advances, workouts, and general risk metrics and analysis on the current portfolios.Support data and research needs of the brokerage, including reporting on mortgages, market and economic data.Qualifications, Skills, & Experience:Business degree or equivalent training/experienceExperience in real estate markets, with specific exposure to mortgage underwriting and lending.Experience and/or advanced education in financial modeling and financial statement analysis.Experience (volunteer or employment) with charities and the charitable sector.Experience with mortgage brokering (including mortgage agent/broker license), client relations, and compliance would be an asset.Ability to speak and read French would be an asset.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelAbility to multi-task while remaining organized.Strong attention to detail.Strong judgment & problem-solving skillsFully aligned with Capstone’s Biblically directed philosophy and values.The annual base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 - $85,000, with a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including a generous vacation allotment, medical benefits and contributions towards a retirement savings plan.
