**Job Details**
Position Title: Indigenous Student Success Coordinator
Status: Full Time
Hours: 37 Hours / Weekly
Faculty/Department: Indigenous Education & Engagement
Campus/Location: Humber College North Campus
Hourly Rate: $33.88 CAD / Hour (Starting)

**What you will do**:
The incumbent is responsible for fostering a welcoming community for Indigenous learners at Humber by developing, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating student support programs and services both independently, and in conjunction with other colleagues and departments. Under the general direction of the Manger of Indigenous Education & Engagement, the Indigenous Student Success Coordinator is responsible for the time delivery of strategic retention and academic support services as identified by the Humber Indigenous community while meeting the requirements from the MTCU PSET consolidated multi-year plan..

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**
Degree or Diploma in Indigenous Knowledge, Business, Public Relations,Development, Marketing, Community Development.

**Experience**
Minimum 5 years of experience in:

- Public speaking, event planning, experience using computer software including database, spreadsheet, calendaring. Experience working independently within a team environment handling multiple tasks and timelines from a variety of sources in order to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the issues of Aboriginal students in relation to transition and retention from urban and rural environments to PSE.
- Experience in working directly with Aboriginal students in a post-secondary environment.

Knowledge and respect of Indigenous teachings and culture. Clear understanding of the historic relationship Aboriginal people have with Canada.
