Full-time position
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Combined office and WFH flexibility
Branch location: Surrey, BC (Campbell Heights)
Reports to: Senior VP
A.R. Thomson Group was established in 1967 as a regional manufacturer and distributor of gaskets and other fluid containment products. We are family-owned and operated and have expanded our presence across Canada to meet increased demand for these products in oil and gas production, petrochemical, oil refining, and pulp & paper industries. Our mission is “To be a valued provider of cost-effective solutions for fluid containment and control, through consultation, training, and policy of continuous improvement in quality, technology, and work processes. To have our customers place a high value on our service and view us as an important ally in their business.
General Accountability:
Plan and implement all aspects of the Company’s digital marketing plan and its implementation. Major focus on Search
Engine Optimization through both organic and PPC advertising. Establishing target keywords and content to ensure our company and products are ranking higher than our competition. Direct and oversee the development of our web-based digital promotional campaigns including implementation of our web store.
We are entering an exciting new era in which virtual sales, digital media, e-promotion, and video production are quickly becoming our most critical customer interaction. Oversee creative graphics and web design as it becomes a vital component of the sales and marketing initiative. Playing a key role in aligning our Product Managers and Graphic artists in all creative aspects of our brand design and product advertising and promotion.

3.3. Strategic online advertising
4. Literature PDFs
4.1. Oversee design and copy on literature and sales support materials
5. Pricing
5.1. Maintain customer web store accounts
6. Manage and maintain trademarks/patents
6.1. Thomson brands
6.2. In-house designs
7. Packaging
7.1. Ensure packaging is professional and effective
8. Internal and external promotion
8.1. Communication
8.2. Social media
8.3. Newsletter
8.4. Facebook
9. Training
9.1. Create and maintain product training materials
9.2. Integrated PDF-based courses on major product groups
10. Coordinate product and promotional graphics
10.1. Website (maintain and editing)
10.2. Social media platforms
10.3. Headers and banners
10.4. Product case histories
11. Coordinate and oversee
11.2. Product logos
11.3. Banner ads
11.4. Convert product promotion and positioning strategies into effective designs
11.5. Translate product objectives into compelling, appropriate campaigns and designs

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the following: a. B2B Industrial sales and marketing b. Web design and development c. Ecommerce d. Effective B2B advertising e. Brand development and promotion
- Proficiency in the following Adobe Creative Suite programs: a. Photoshop b. InDesign c. Illustrator d. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Minimum 2 years Diploma including Digital Marketing
- High School Completion
- Minimum 2 years Post Secondary
- Formal Marketing Management Program (certificate or diploma required)
Preferred skills and experience:
- Experience reviewing and editing print-ready files (color management, screen vs. print resolution, bleeds, large format graphics) for producing: a. Brochures b. Trade show graphics c. Signage d. Labels e. Packaging f. Other promotional materials
- Video editing and animation skills (Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.) - for creating short promotional/explainer videos and motion graphics, etc.
- Working knowledge of WooCommerce, WordPress, CSS, and HTML - for working on our websites which are all currently based on WordPress.
