Are you located in Saskatoon (or immediate surrounding area)?

Are you legally eligible to work in Canada (sorry - GPE is not able to accommodate Immigration requests)
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- At all times, adhere to all safety procedures and policies according to the company Safety Manual and OH&S Regulations.
- Conduct daily inspections (safety checks) and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning, reporting issues or items of concern found.
- Follow landfill plans and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks (may include future cell builds).
- Clean heavy equipment as scheduled or required.
- Directing traffic in and around the material delivery areas.
- Collaborate with site staff to coordinate activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned/needed.

**Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years of experience operating equipment that consists of: DOZER, Excavator, Articulating Loader - these are the three main pieces of equipment GPE uses(this will be tested during the interview)
- Certificate(s) in Heavy Equipment Operation is considered an asset.
- General mechanical aptitude/experience in basic daily maintenance of heavy equipment required.
- Be safety conscious and be able to work safely in sometimes challenging conditions.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to adapt to new situations.
- Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License required with clear abstract.
- A reliable vehicle is required - no bus services.

**NOTE: As a condition of employment, all new employees may be required to successfully pass a substance test within a two-week period of their hiring date.**
