**I.** **JOB TITLE**: Business Development **Reports to**: Terminal Manager **ABOUT US**: “Turning Miles into Smiles" Hunter Express is an asset-based trucking corporation that was founded in 2005 and continues to rapidly expand. Hunter Express has over 6,000 power units and over 2,000 trailers. Our team is comprised of 150 team drivers and 450 single drivers. Our operations run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have five terminals that are located across the U.S and Canada. We are looking for a passionate outside sales representative, to represent the Windsor Terminal proudly, build connections and educate potential clients about the various services we offer that span across Canada, USA, and Mexico. **II.** **JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY**: As outside sales representative you will be responsible for actively developing new revenue by onboarding new customers within our specific region of Canada/U.S. The primary focus is hunting for new business and connecting with prospects. **SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB**: - Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers. - Travel within sales territory to meet prospects or customers daily. - Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer’s specific needs. - Developing new business leads - Ensuring all communication with new or existing customers is logged into a CRM system. - Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth. - Negotiate sales contracts and oversee new account installations. - Working with Sales Team Lead and Inside Sales Coordinator to offer the best solutions that meet and exceed the requirements of the prospects and customers. - Eliminating empty miles (our goal is zero empty miles) - Multi-Task as much as possible **III.** **QUALIFICATIONS** - Minimum 1 year of experience required. - Process excellent communication and computer skills - Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Client Management skills - Multi-tasking skills - Excellent selling and negotiation skills - Presentation skills - Ability to interpret and analyze sales data. - Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook. **IV.** **JOB TYPE** - Full time, Permanent from Belle River Location - Monday to Friday **Benefits**: - Dental care - Paid time off - Vision care Schedule: - Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: - Belle River, ON N0R 1A0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Education**: - Secondary School (preferred) **Experience**: - Business development: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: On the road
