**Executive Summary**

Development. Reporting to the Director of Programs, the primary role of the Manager, Inclusive Learning &
Resource Development, is managing the development of lessons, workshops, and resources for in-person, hybrid, and online programs, and working with the Program Leadership Team to develop and deliver staff training for a complement of part-time staff and volunteers.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring the development of high-quality hands-on, experiential lessons, spanning a number of sectors including trades, technology, natural resources, STEM, and healthcare, and will work to incorporate land-based education and an Indigenous perspective. 1. Developing and revising curriculum, lessons, and resources using various modes of delivery including online, blended, onsite, and community educational models.
2. Establishing relationships with participants and their families, schools, community members, businesses, and other organizations that align with Career Trek’s Mission and Vision.
3. Ensuring high quality, high impact program development and staff training that results in providing participants with engaging and immersive career exploration lessons and skill development opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Provide leadership to further Career Trek’s culture, mission, vision, and core values.
- Work with and support the other members of the Programs Leadership team to ensure consistent, high
- quality, high-impact, programs across all portfolios.
- Establish and nurture a working environment that creates employee engagement and empowers Career
Trek employees and volunteers to thrive in an environment of change.
- The selection, supervision, and evaluation of Inclusive Learning & Resource Development staff and volunteers
- Ensure program curriculum and resources are designed to operate within the policies and procedures of
Career Trek.
- Ensure the Director of Programs is informed of any problems related to curriculum content, identify issues and assist in developing strategies to solve issues.
- Familiarity with various delivery models including online, blended, onsite -and community educational models
- Organize, prioritize and manage workload, advising supervisor of significant issues.
- Support outreach and relationship building in rural, Indigenous communities, and with community and youth-serving organizations, to grow and tailor programming to the employment opportunities and labour market trends in the Region.
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with Funders, Career Trek staff, volunteers and partners.

**Inclusive Learning & Resource Development**
- Research o Assist with the research, organization, and identification of education trends, barriers, and age
- appropriate milestones. Will be involved in relevant research around career development. o Monitor labour market, business, and community.
- Lesson Development o Ensure the Career Trek program content and activities meets the needs of our community, addresses barriers to education, is cutting-edge and incorporates career development components consistent with Provincial guidelines. o Ensure programming and resources are current, relevant, and responsive to labour market trends and the future of jobs. o Implement and refine an ongoing process of lesson and resource review and revision o Ensure programming and resources are inclusive, engaging, and filtered through a lens of anti
- Collaboration and Co-creation o Works with Career Trek’s Program Leadership Team, program partners, and instructors to ensure programming is current, relevant, and responsive to labour market trends and the future of jobs. o Participate in the review and revision of Career Trek programs, practices, and policies through an anti-racism, anti-oppression, anti-ableism, and reconciliation lens, and reflect community interests, opportunities, and aspirations.
**Human Resources**
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, training, and mentorship of programming staff to ensure that practices are consistent with Career Trek’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Implement human resources policies, procedures, and practices of the organization and ensure that personnel files for the program are properly maintained and kept confidential.
