**Credit/Collections Clerk**
**Job Description**:
To provide financial, clerical services to ensure timely and accurate payment of accounts.
**Responsibilities**
- Monitor and reconcile customer account details for non payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Process Credit Card transactions
- Analyse “credit hold” orders
- Release Sales Orders pursuant to established credit terms
- Investigate and resolve customer queries.
- Maintain account receivable customer files, reconcile accounts.
- Determine the proper allocation and handling of payments and adjustments.
- Make credit decisions within assigned authority.
- Negotiate payment terms with customers and resolve credit issues.
- Interact with sales staff to communicate credit decisions and ongoing timely review of customers.
- Develop management reporting.
- Develop and standardize written policy documentation related to the credit and customer set up process.
**Requirements**:
- Strong computer skills - Word, Excel, Syspro, Converge
- Post secondary education in accounting, finance or related field
- A minimum 5 years experience in Credit and Collections
- Prior experience of credit reporting agencies (Equifax)
- Proficient in reading / interpreting financial statements for the purpose of underwriting credit
- Prior experience with Small Claims court and personal guarantees
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally
- Strong problem solving and customer service skills
- Fast paced environment
- Ability to speak Punjabi would be an asset
**Schedule**:Monday - Friday, 6:30 to 3:00 pm
**Remuneration**:Compensation is dependent on qualifications and experience
