The **Strategy & Insights Analyst** is responsible for driving data-informed decision-making and strategic execution across Avana’s Marketing & Strategy initiatives. By coordinating the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) process, conducting resident and market research, and analyzing performance data, this role ensures that Avana remains resident-centric and positioned for sustainable growth. The **Strategy & Insights Analyst** works closely with cross-functional teams to align activities with Avana’s mission, values, and long-term strategic goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
- OKR Facilitation & Tracking _
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager and department leads to define quarterly and annual OKRs.
- Maintain an OKR dashboard, track progress, and coordinate regular review sessions.
- Provide insights and recommendations for adjusting objectives based on performance trends.
- Resident & Market Research _
- Design and execute surveys, focus groups, and other research methods to understand resident needs, demographics, and satisfaction drivers.
- Conduct competitor and market analyses to identify new opportunities and emerging trends.
- Present findings in clear, actionable formats for multiple stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Leasing, Operations).
- Data Analysis & Insights _
- Aggregate and analyze data from marketing platforms, property management systems, and operational metrics to reveal performance patterns.
- Develop visual dashboards and reports, highlighting key KPIs and emerging opportunities.
- Partner with the Digital Marketing & Analytics Specialist to correlate marketing campaigns with resident engagement and lead generation outcomes.
- Strategic Recommendations _
- Translate research and analytics into actionable strategies for branding, resident retention, and market expansion.
- Identify areas for operational improvements, working with relevant teams to prototype and test new initiatives.
- Support annual and quarterly planning sessions, ensuring decisions align with Avana’s overarching strategic objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration _
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure data-driven insights inform campaign development.
- Coordinate with IT or external partners for data-related solutions and system integrations.
- Provide training or guidance on analytics tools and methodologies to foster a data-centric culture within the organization.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s or MBA a plus).
- 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, strategy, consulting, or marketing insights roles.
- Familiarity with OKR frameworks or similar goal-setting methodologies.
- Proficiency in Excel and at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research capabilities (survey design, focus group facilitation, competitor analysis).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Project management aptitude, with experience managing timelines and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (i.e. Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen).
**Compensation Package**:
- **Benefits**:Dental and medical benefits package. 80% of the cost is covered by Avana. Option for the employee to purchase disability and life insurance.
- **Pension**:The Pension Plan will commence in your second year of employment. 2% of salary matched in year two, 3% of salary matched in year three, 4% of salary matched in year four and 5% of salary matched in year five.
- **Vacation Entitlement**:20 business days per year. Must be accumulated prior to taking them.
- **Annual Bonus**:Opportunity to earn up to 10% of salary as an annual bonus.
- **Probation Period**:The probation period is 90 days from the start date.
