Established in 1836 in Quebec, Canada, Bishop’s College School
(BCS) is an IB World School offering the International
Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and certificates. With a
campus bordered by farmland and rolling hills on one side and by
the city of Sherbrooke on the other, BCS is a small, welcoming

Bishop’s College School (BCS) is launching an Elite Basketball Program—and we’re looking for a
Director of Basketball who’s ready to lead it from the ground up.

This is your chance to build a signature program, starting with our Elite Girls’ team and expanding
to include Elite Boys’, with the goal of positioning BCS as a global destination for top-tier
basketball talent.

You won’t just coach—you’ll create a culture of excellence, develop high-performing student
- athletes, and deliver winning outcomes on the court and in the classroom. From elite-level
training to post-secondary placement, your leadership will open doors for players and raise the
bar for the sport at BCS.

By the end of your first 24 months, you will have:

- Coached the Senior Girls Basketball team and fostered a culture of high performance and

personal growth.
- Launched the Elite Girls’ Basketball Program, complete with a competitive national and

international schedule, robust recruiting, and a player development pipeline.
- Designed and initiated the framework for the Elite Boys’ Program, including recruitment

planning, schedule building, and talent identification.
- Positioned BCS as a leader in Canadian prep basketball for girls.

- Qualifications and Experience
- _Education_: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- _Experience_: Extensive coaching and leadership experience in high-level basketball programs, with a
- proven record of success.
- _Certification:_ NCCP Level 3 certification or equivalent (preferred).
- _Skills:_ Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- _Expertise:_ Experience evaluating talent, building teams, and mentoring student-athletes.
- _Environment:_ Experience in a boarding school or prep school environment is an asset.
- _Language:_ Bilingualism or proficiency in a third language is a plus.
- _Mobility_: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
- _Physicality_: Physical ability to meet the demands of an active coaching and recruiting role.
