In accordance with the provisions of the “Regulation Respecting the Conditions of Employment of Management Staff of School Boards” adopted by the Order of the Minister of Education (Class 6 - 78 600 $ to 104 797 $).

Immediate Supervisor:
Director of Adult Education Centre

**Nature of the work**

The position of assistant director of an adult education centre entails assisting the centre director in accordance with the mandate defined by the latter in the management of the instructional, educational, and administrative matters of the centre.

Primary Responsibilities_**

In general, this position includes the performance of all or part of the following duties and responsibilities:
**Instructional and Educational Matters**
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the policies and action plan of the centre.
- Coordinate, supervise, or take part in carrying out activities, programs, or services in different sectors of activity of the centre such as: human, material, or financial resources, information and communications technologies, welcoming and referral services, services provided to businesses and relations with employment and potential employability development agencies.
- Assume any other responsibility compatible with his function that may be assigned to him by the immediate superior.
- Replace the director of the adult education centre if the latter is absent for a short period.

**Requirements and Profile**

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor's degree in education or an undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study certifying a minimum three-year university program or hold a senior executive or senior staff position in a school service centre for which an undergraduate degree is required under the minimum requirements.
- Five years of pertinent experience.
- A permanent teaching license issued by the Minister.

- Ability to handle issues from a problem-solving and customer satisfaction perspective while ensuring respect, better knowledge and understanding of different management procedures

- Experience and knowledge in the Adult Education sector
- Experience working in collaboration with businesses
- Specific working knowledge of Social Vocational Instruction, Francisation, and Employability services in the region
