*Position Description:
*Our organization manufactures high end coupling and fittings used by fortune 500 companies all over the world manufactured to tight tolerances with high quality surface finishes. We are looking to fill a Machinist position / Journeyman, Apprentice or Pre employment Machinist with Manual Lathe and Mill experience. This position would have the option if interested in learning CNC programing and operation of CNC Lathes and Mill.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop expertise in product knowledge
- Responsible for accurate machining of high-quality machined parts.
- Ability to read Micrometers, Calipers and other machinist measuring tools.
- Ability to read manufacturing drawings.
- Daily meetings with Production leader to keep updated on manufacturing issues.

**Job Requirements**

**Education/Experience**:
Required to have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Registered or willing to register into Machinist Apprentice program

Excellent verbal skills to communicate with Co-workers and supervisors regarding technical issues. Ability to read and interpret blueprints specifications.

Strong skills and working knowledge

**Mathematical Skills**:
Strong mathematical skills to perform and understand machinist calculations as it relates to materials as well as a basic mechanical aptitude.

**Attitude**:
Must display a positive attitude in dealing with supervisors and co-workers

Have open lines of communication with team members. Demonstrate professionalism in dealing with co-workers.

**Physical Demands & Work Environment**:

- Must be able to work from Calgary facility.
- Possible lifting of heavier items, bending, kneeling and stretching.
- Fast paced office environment with artificial lighting.

Pay: $52,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
